André Bishop was appointed Artistic Director of Lincoln Center Theater in 1992 and Producing Artistic Director in 2013. He had previously been Artistic Director at Playwrights Horizons. He's produced over 80 Broadway shows. His many awards include The Margo Jones Award, The Lucille Lortel Award for Outstanding Body of Work, a Special Award from The Drama Desk, 17 Tony Awards for Best Production and three Pulitzer Prizes. In 2012 he was inducted into the Theater Hall of Fame and he's a member of The American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
