Bartlett Sher was appointed Resident Director of Lincoln Center Theater since 2008. Prior to that he was Artistic Director at The Hartford Stage and The Intiman Theater (Seattle), and Company Director at The Guthrie Theater (Minneapolis). He’s been praised for his direction of musicals, straight modern dramas, Shakespeare and opera. He’s been recognized with two Drama Desk Awards, two Outer Critics Circle Awards, A Lucille Lortell Award, an Obie Award and a Tony Award for his direction of South Pacific.
