Caitríona McLaughlin was appointed Artistic Director of The AbbeyTheatre, Dublin, in 2020, after having served as Associate Director since 2017. She received a Clore Fellowship in 2007 and she’s worked extensively developing and directing plays in New York and London as well as in Dublin. Her work includes directing for The Irish National Opera and The Wexford Opera. She was named Best Director at The Irish Theatre Awards for her work on The Abbey’s production of Marina Carr’s play On Raftery’s Hill. Her other work for The Abbey includes directing Roddy Doyle’s play Two Pints, which toured internationally.
