Lee Breuer was the recipient of a MacArthur Fellowship, a Bunting Fellowship, a Guggenheim Fellowship and two Fulbright Fellowships. His honors also include Obie Awards including an Obie Award for Distinguished Achievement, The Helen Hayes Award, The Archangel Award at the Edinburgh International Festival and the Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres from The French Ministry of Culture. He was the Co-Artistic Director of the theater company Mabou Mines, which he co-founded. Mr. Breuer died in 2021.
