Oskaras Koršunovas founded the Oskaras Koršunovas Theatre, now also called the Vilnius City Theatre, in 1998. He’s best known for productions such as A Midsummer Night’s Dream and The Lower Depths. His many awards include The Europe Theatre Prize for New Realities, The Vilnius St. Christopher Prize for Contribution to Culture and several Golden Stage Cross Awards. He’s been honored with The Swedish Commander Grand Cross and the title Chevalier of the French Order of Literature and Arts.
