Robert LePage is praised for his work in several genres including theatre and opera, as well as in multi-disciplinary forms assimilating puppetry. He founded Ex Machina, performing arts company in Quebec at which he is Artistic Director, in 1994. Previously, he had been Artistic Director of the Théâtre français at the National Arts Centre in Ottawa. He's been named a Companion of The Order of Canada and he's been admitted to Canada's Walk of Fame. Mr. Lepage's international awards include The European Commission's Europe Theatre Prize and The Glenn Gould Prize.
